Working overnight at Walmart...posted Oct 21st 2009, 4:08PM

Really isn't that bad. I think I'm the only one who'd ever volunteer for it though
Last week, my supervisor asks me if I'd work overnight to help set some mods in softlines and I said, 'sure.' It took all week to figure out when I was working and I didn't know exactly where in softlines I'd be working or exactly what 'setting mods' entailed...until I actually got there.
We spent most of the night moving fixtures around...and not the little racks with arms that they put shirts and shit on...big-ass gondolas. :faint: It was hard work, and at points in the night, my calves were burning from walking backwards with fixtures, but overall, not so bad.
I stay up until four or five in the morning anyway...>__>
So yeah, now that we moved the entire department around (I was in intimates, btw), we'll actually be setting mods tonight. b w00t. No, I like setting mods. It's something I know how to do pretty well, and I like moving the hooks around and getting everything all set up and the satisfaction you get when it's all done.
I know it sounds like I enjoy working at Walmart...and trust me, most of the time, I really don't. <__< Although sometimes I'll be all pissed off and raging and my girlfriend's wondering why the hell I care so much. I'm messed up, okay?!
Hmm...been drawing just about as long as I can remember. I'm really into realism right now, although I enjoy drawing anime/manga and I intend to play with digital coloring soon. I've got a Wacom tablet I have to use, after all
